International Workers' Memorial Day

Thursday April 28th is International Workers' Memorial Day when we remember the dead and fight for the living.

Every 6 minutes a worker in one of our industries is either killed or seriously injured. Under the Australian Building and Construction Commission (ABCC) this was even more frequent.

These alarming statistics make it more important than ever that we never see the ABCC laws again.

This election we owe it to the families of the deceased and the workers and families of tomorrow to ensure that the Turnbull Government is not returned.

The CFMEU will always stand up for your safety. But sometimes we need you to stand up for others.

Last year we asked our members and supporters to put their shoes out in memory of a construction worker killed at the Royal Adelaide Hospital site.

This year we're asking everyone to do the same thing in memory of every worker who has been killed or injured at work.

Help us send a message to Malcolm Turnbull and Australia just how important safety at work is.

This Thursday make sure you put your boots or shoes out, take a picture, and put it on Twitter or Facebook.
